For Ron's 30th birthday I wanted to give him something original
that would capture this time in his life. I made a tie to signify the accomplishments he has already achieved so far, and the goals he has set for himself as he begins this new chapter in his life.
I was really excited to work with Liberty of London fabric for the first time and navigate my way through an unfamiliar pattern, learning quite a few new hand stitches as I went along. I think Ron looks really dapper in his new tie-- the rich berry colors sparkle against his crisp white shirt and the navy suit tones everything down to create a perfect, and timeless, ensemble.
So handsome! Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteThe tie is a work of art in itself. The pattern is bold & unique, the fabric is soft and light, and the stitching is perfect. It looks inspired by Murakami. Its true what they say: "a tie made with love always falls perfectly"! the most amazing thing is that this was Sara's first time making a tie! and it came out so perfect. I will treasure this gift forever. <3
ReplyDeleteRon looks quite dapper sporting his new tie. Now that I see the full view of the tie I have to say it is quite stunning and very well made! I am proud of your sewing talent. Mom
ReplyDeleteBeautful tie and such a sweet, thoughtful gift! Quite an accomplishment on your end too!
ReplyDeleteCan I place an order? Well...I don't wear ties that much anyway :) But again, I'm impressed...as always.
